Maastricht, TEFAF (The European Fine Art Fair)

The Antiques and Works of Art on display across a broad range of galleries includes pieces such as antique jewelry, figurines, furniture, tableware, pottery, busts and even a stunning and intact stained glass window made between 1531 and 1533 for the former Benedictine priory church at Flavigny-sur-Moselle, Lorraine.

Another highlight includes a magnificent cutlery piece with a coral motif, presented by Kunstkammer Georg Laue, as part of a highly important private collection of 70 outstanding pieces of cutlery from the 16th- to the 18th-century, executed for the European courts in the Renaissance and Baroque periods.

Throughout all it exhibitions spaces, TEFAF offers a new service to visitors at the end of each day, in which hostesses will take small groups around to dealers who will highlight a specific object or explain why he/she became a dealer – a wonderful educational opportunity.
