The Grand Palais

Celebrating its 10th year, Paris's Modern and Contemporary art fair showcases stellar work from 115 vibrant French and foreign galleries, cutting a fresh perspetive and a fine sampling of the overall international market. More than forty percent of participants come from outside France and the fair has renewed ninety-five percent of its galleries in the past nine years, as an essential and dynamic presence on the European artistic scene.

During the fair, a thematic exhibition entitled "Traversées"(Crossings) will feature twenty artists from the Arab world, a display of young emerging talents alongside the leading artists of the preceding generation.

With a variety of artistic styles present, Artparis 2008 echoes artparis-AbuDhabi, the frist edition of which took place last November drawing more than 9 000 visitors and collectors, proving the increasing affinity between the mutual cultural objectives and links between Abu Dhabi and Paris.
