Munich, Galerie Thomas Modern

On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the established Galerie Thomas and in the belief that the art market is undergoing significant restructuring at present, a new sister gallery opens its doors on Tuerkenstrasse in Munich’s Kunstareal, or gallery and museum district, named Galerie Thomas Modern. Its inaugurate exhibition reunites three major artists of the 20th century: Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, and Cy Twombly.

The generous new space is dedicated to exhibiting and trading both younger and advanced modern artists, with works by the major artists of Pop Art, Abstract American Art, Minimal Art and German artists such as Georg Baselitz, Anselm Kiefer, Gerhard Richter, with a roster of new names from the international art scene such as Peter Halley and Subodh Gupta.

Galerie Thomas founder Raimund Thomas joins his daughter, art historian Silke Thomas, for this new and exciting venture that is making a fine first debut.
