Saint Paul de Vence, Musée de Saint Paul

Bill Wyman has taken photographs almost all his life and has amassed an archive of over 20,000 images but his busy life as a band member of the Rolling Stones did not leave him a lot of time to focus on photography. During his 30 year career with the band, he maintained a sideline taking portraits of other famous musicians and artists such as The Who, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Chagall, Arman and César.

The exhibition at the Musée de Saint Paul showcases 94 photographs, many of which have never been exhibited before, and provides a rarely seen point of view about the life of the Rolling Stones’ former bass player. In short, these photographs track Wyman’s journey through the history of rock’n roll from 1966 to 2010.
