The French fashion designer Elisabeth de Senneville is much than just that. She is also an artist and a technology designer who for over 30 years has pioneered innovative prints, textiles and materials of her own design. Known for her use of high tech fabrics, she was one of the first designers to use computer generated prints, aluminium treated wool and was an early adopter of Velcro. More recently, she was the first designer to create a jacket featuring built-in protection against mobile phone radiation. This retrospective of her work at the Piscine Museum, Roubaix – where she has exhibited her creations since 1991 – provides a comprehensive overview of the graphic artist's work in the areas of design and textiles.
