Over the past few decades, dynamic collaborations between contemporary artists and leading luxury brands have spawned some of the most covetable products the consumer landscape has yet to see. Heralding a new phase in the happy, promising union between the two sectors, the Comité Colbert (an organization of 68 luxury goods houses, founded in 1954 to advance France's renowned artisan traditions) will participate for the first time in the annual FIAC festival for contemporary art with a project entitled 'FIAC LUXE.' As part of this two-part program (the more exclusive 'Parcours Privés' gives FIAC guests of honor a behind-the-scenes peek into Paris' most celebrated design ateliers and private salons), the Comité Colbert will showcase winning prototypes from its 20th Young Designers Competition, giving center stage to a diverse range of creations by promising new talent.
