Milan, Triennale di Milano
Curated by Germano Celant alongside the American architect himself, the exhibition brings together a selection of Gehry’s building projects, since designing the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao in 1997. The projects that followed increasingly adopted different technology and a town-planning approach, most of which are being shown here for the first time in a way that explains their interaction with the surrounding areas.
from the DZ Bank Building in Berlin (1995-2001), to AGO – Art Gallery of Ontario (2000-2008), the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago (1999-2004), and the Interactive Corporation Headquarters in New York (2003-2007), through to the Atlantis Sentosa resort in Singapore and the Abu Dhabi branch of the Guggenheim Museum. The buildings, are illustrated through films, photographs, drawings, and models, showing the various stages in the creation of the projects, as well as through the words of the architect himself.
