Paris, Musée Jacquemart-André

As a tribute to Spanish art, the Jacquemart-André Museum presents a group of paintings never before exhibited in France, part of the Pérez Simón Collection. The exhibition is arranged by theme so that each stage provides the opportunity for fresh comparisons between the great masters of different centuries, thus highlighting the traditions and breakthroughs of the Spanish school.

Juan Antonio Pérez Simón, a successful Mexican businessman of Spanish origin, is a well-known figure in the collecting world. Since the 1970s, he has acquired a magnificent collection of paintings, sculptures, drawings, etchings, decorative objets d’art and manuscripts together with a library of more than fifty thousand books. This world famous collection is one of the most important in South America, and this highlight of Spanish masters is a wonderful entry into its riches.
