Paris, Galerie Vallois Sculptures

As assemblage of around forty heads from around the world - not a UN conference, but Galerie Vallois’s latest exhibition. As part of Paris’s XI edition d’Art Saint-Germain des-Prés, the Left Bank gallery presents a collection of cranial sculptures, ranging from antique Chinese and pre-Colombian, to works from this century.

Petite Tête au Nez en Trompette illustrates Rodin’s talent for capturing the grace and youth of his sitters, while Daumier’s Tête d’Homme en Chapeau-Haute-de-Forme and Elisabeth Buffoli’s L’Evêque show the humor of caricature.
