To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the French edition of Architectural Digest, the magazine has invited 10 of the interior designers that it works most closely with to express their vision of contemporary style with “carte blanche”. Interiors 2010: The French Touch is the resulting exhibition, which is being held for two weeks at the spectacular Hôtel Marcel Dassault in Paris, the headquarters of the auction house Artucrial. Across 10 rooms, the 10 designers include established names and emerging talents: François Catroux, François-Joseph Graf, Alberto Pinto, India Mahdavi, Olivia Putman, Laurent Buttazzoni & Frédéric Lavaud, Chahan Minassian, Tristan Auer, Pierre Yovanovitch and Joseph Dirand. The goal is to offer the public an opportunity to discover the expertise of a profession, along with all of its associated crafts and trades – a body of know-how that is rarely spotlighted beyond the confines of its own projects.
