Jérôme Sans, the co-founder and former director of the Palais de Tokyo and the newly appointed director of the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, has a hip side-line project: he is one half of the French electronic music duo, Liquid Architecture. So Sans' interest in curating a show about musicians who are also, or have been, visual artists seems perfectly fitting.

The exhibition features artworks by many of today's hottest names. We're talking about performance artists such as Fischerspooner and Chicks on Speed, electro DJ Miss Kittin, rock stars such as Pete Doherty and The Kills, and legendaries such as Patti Smith, Yoko Ono, Bryan Ferry and Brian Eno. Lesser-known artists such as Nick Zinner, guitarist of the New York-based group the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Riceboy Sleeps, the Icelandic duo of Jónsi Birgisson and Alex Somers, are also included, revealing how Sans' really knows his stuff. It all makes for an achingly cool, superbly curated show, revealing Sans' passion for music and the visual art that musicians create.
