Aix-en-Provence, Musée Granet

To celebrate its first ten years of museum activity, the Collection Lambert in Avignon has organized, a summer exhibition devoted to the work of Miquel Barceló, a Catalan artist based between Paris, his native Majorca and Mali, West Africa. The ambitious exhibition is set across three historic sites within the city, made possible partly under the legacy of Pablo Picasso who, in 1970, made headlines by proposing one of his last great exhibitions of paintings in the Chapel of the Palais des Papes four years before his death.
The Collection Lambert will present an ensemble of works from the last decade, most of which will be exhibited for the first time - essentially paintings, large-scale works on paper and a selection of much celebrated travel journals
