Devoted to creating a panoramic display of the finest photography from the 19th century to the present day, in just ten short years, Paris Photo has become one of the world's most important events for photography aficionados. While covering the latest creative trends with over 100 participating galleries from around the world, each year the fair takes an in-depth look into the creative output of a specific region. After looking towards Spain in 2005, Paris Photo turns its focus on the northern lights of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden as part of the fair's "Statement" section. Over the last 10 years, the world has excitedly watched the Scandinavian art scene diversify and expand with unprecedented speed; by honing in on the regions' eight leading galleries, visitors this year will be presented with scintillating solo shows of emerging talent from Copenhagen, Helsinki, Reykjavik and Oslo and Sweden.
