Paris, Galerie Maeght

Galerie Maeght recognizes the immense talent of world-class fashion photographer Steve Hiett. A visual icon for almost four decades, Hiett's striking, saturated images typify the glamour of fashion photography.

Last Fall the Paris gallery invited the British photographer to spend a week at its family foundation in Saint Paul de Vence. Exploiting the intense colors of the Côte d'Azur and the Maeght's splendid surroundings as props, the photographer created 10 new images to accompany the exhibition's collection of 17 large-scale prints, dating back as far as the 1970s when the then burgeoning talent soon rose to became a favorite among leading fashion magazines of the day. Measuring almost two meters by 1.3m, the scale of these works renders the effect of Hiett's vivid images truly striking.

NEWYORKPARIS has published a limited edition tome (2000 copies) to accompany the exhibition. For further information contact.
