Uber-chef Daniel Boulud continues his rapid expansion in his home of New York City with the opening of the first Épicerie Boulud. An eat-in or take-out market, Boulud has created a space where amateur chefs can pick up professional ingredients, from his signature
house made charcuterie and artisanal cheeses, courtesy of Saxelby Cheesemongers, to exotic specialty foods and condiments discovered by him and his chefs in their travels. Open from breakfast until late, come in the afternoon when special gelatis are offered or at evening, when the epicerie transforms into an oyster bar serving wines by the glass.
