There is a distinct return to sophistication at Crown, the latest eatery from chef-restaurateur John DeLucie that is currently the hottest table in Manhattan. From its Upper East Side location (an anomaly among fashionable restaurants which are usually downtown) to its townhouse home (which includes an original marble staircase and wood panelled walls), Crown is oh-so-chic. Chef Jason Hall serves up old school suppers, while wine director Jordan Salcito looks after the intimate bar complete with wood burning fireplace – the new scene of power lunches and intimate tête-à-têtes.
