Built on the remains of the Baths of Diocletian, this neoclassical palazzo was turned into a five-star hotel by the Boscolo hotel group in 2003. The interior design by Maurizio Papiri is in keeping with the sweeping grandeur of the hotel, incorporating acres of fabric draped, hung and swathed about the rooms. The collection of photos in the hotel's Tazio bar is a tribute to the photographer Tazio Secchiaroli who coined the word paparazzo in Fellini's masterpiece "La Dolce Vita".
