Foodies making a restaurant run to Paris might consider the homey Hotel Thoumieux, located directly above both the fashionable brasserie of the same name and the Michelin-starred Restaurant Jean-Francois Piege. Co-owned by the chef and Thierry Costes, of the family behind Hotel Costes, the Hotel Thoumieux combines gastronomy with hospitality on an intimate scale. Cult designer India Mahdavi created the guest rooms and bar, which are filled with her signature furniture that recalls the work of Ettore Sottsass. Still to come: Boulangerie Thoumieux, which is set to open directly across the rue.
