Hong Kong’s famous private members club goes further afield, to Shanghai. Located in a restored 1920s heritage maison in the heart of the city, the four-story club exudes laid back elegance. Oenophiles rejoice in the club’s impressive list of over 200 wines – this is the place if you fancy a taste of a good rare vintage, although the signature cocktail menu is a tempting alternative. Chef William Mahi serves up both French and Chinese fare in the main dining room on the third floor, or if you’re looking for something more intimate, the Vacheron Constantin and Alfred Dunhill salons on the fourth floor seat just 18 guests.
