Manhattan chef David Chang enjoys cult-like status among New York's gourmet aficionados. Renowned for his simple but expertly executed noodles at East Village restaurants Momofuku Ssam Bar and Momofuku Noodle Bar, his latest addition to a burgeoning mini-empire is Momofuku Ko which offers a more haute-cuisine experience. Reservations at the intimate 12-seat bar are so sought after that bookings can only be made through the Momofuku website, after which a computer selects the lucky diners at random. Well worth the effort for the outstanding Japanese/Korean cuisine and exquisite desserts.
