1960s Italian Style and Where to Find it Today

Inspired by Fellini’s iconic movie and a new exhibition of photographs from the same era, The Years of La Dolce Vita at London’s Estorick Collection, we showcase the timeless style of Italy in the 1960s. This was a time defined by the bella figura, by Persol sunglasses and by Marcello Mastroianni. From Vespa rides down the Via Veneto in Rome to cruising a Riva round Capri, everything was done with sprezzatura – effortless cool.

La dolce vita still exists today – you just have to know where to find it and what to do when you get there. Long lunches at La Fontelina and driving a vintage Alfa Romeo along the Amalfi Coast are just some of the ways to capture the magic of the Fellini movie. Read on for more.
