CARDUCCI 76

“A brief glance at the sophisticated beachfront villa, Carducci 76, and it is clear that this luxury locale is heads above the host of kitsch hotels scattered across the Cattolica resort region.” Best Hotels France, August 2004

WHAT

An effortlessly stylish, 38-room luxury hotel converted from a 1920s beachside villa owned by Massimo Ferretti, brother of fashion designer Alberta. Flooded with light, the minimalist interiors feature a harmonious fusion of African and Asian décor, including zebra-print sofas and a meditation garden.

WHERE

Located in Cattolica on the Adriatic Riviera, a 25-minute drive from Rimini. The area, while not exactly undiscovered, does have some charm, notably in the old town of Rimini. The beaches are long and wide and the sea is calm. The hotel’s lovely poolside terrace offers shimmering views of the Adriatic coast.

WHY GO

If you can tear yourself away from the sublime terrace, there are countless other activities to keep you entertained, from golf courses and beachfront people-watching to fabulous seafood at the Ferretti family’s marina-front restaurant, Osteria La Vita e Bella. As befits a hotel owned by such a fashionable family, the international clientele is unfailingly chic.
