“Stay at the Palazzo Versace and live to excess the legendary Donatella way, while buying clothes, fragrance, make-up, china and the bed you sleep in from hotel boutiques.” The Guardian
WHAT
An extravagant, opulent resort, furnished exclusively in Versace, created by fashion designer Donatella Versace as a tribute to her late brother Gianni. All the construction materials, including the tons of gold and marble needed to create the dramatic interiors, were imported from Italy. All the other details are created by Versace: furniture, cutlery, crockery, you name it. The hotel also boasts three restaurants, two bars, and a number of pools, as well as a health club and spa.
WHERE
Located on the Australian Gold Coast, the hotel overlooks a huge, heated lagoon pool and the Broadwater—a stretch of ocean—and the marina.
WHY GO
If you’ve ever wanted to immerse yourself deep in the gilded world of Versace, it doesn’t get better than this. The corridors are lined with Gianni’s artwork and designs and of course, there’s even a Versace boutique on the premises should you be inspired to do up your own home in similar fashion.
